With more greenery than Buskett and enough fish in the pond to make the Sea Shepherd do back-flips, the Blue Elephant is a journey of culinary delight into the wonders of Thai cuisine beset by great service and a view of one orange Sunseeker we would very much like to own.
Products:
The Blue Elephant is the proclaimed ambassador of Thai cuisine with 30 years experience of serving very happy customers. The food is absolutely gorgeous from the Thai Fish Cakes to the Chicken Curry we savoured every bite of one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.
Pricing:
Value for money is absolutely fantastic with reasonably priced items, and a dining experience one cannot but remember. Some friends complained beer was a bit expensive so order wine. Parking comes free at Portomaso (which Blue Elephant is a part of) so we’re not complaining.
Service:
The service is a perfect balance of friendliness and non-intrusiveness. You feel welcome to be here and staff did their best to help with our Thai-naivety. A 5-star experience we would definitely recommend.
We visited this place not one time but last night food was terrible we visited few friends and all of us get sick, please will check what you offering for your customers, that not spoil your name
A totally disappointing evening. Waiting staff rushing about like headless chickens. Extremely difficult to communicate with same due to their lack of English OR Maltese. Menu looks very tempting but once tasted dishes definetly do not reflect Thai cuisine ….. a cross between Chinese and Malaysian but not Thai at all. Setting is tranquil but has not been revamped over the years and it has become outdated. Used to be an exclusive restaurant but not any more ….. but sorry to say overpricing is not reflected in the quality and service that one expects.
My wife and I always dine at the Blue Elephant when staying in Malta. We stayed in the Hilton last week and booked an outside table for four people at 7:30pm. We were served our starters at 8pm and our main course at 9:45pm, which was totally unacceptable. Our guests are in their 70s and lost their appetite due to the ridiculously long wait, which was totally unacceptable. We sent the majority of the main course back and cancelled deserts, as it was just too late to eat.
This was so disappointing as we come to Malta regularly and always dine in the Blue Elephant. My wife normally spends at least a £100 in the restaurant shop, this year she didn’t spend anything. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the evening was ruined.
